How to access

Statista is an online resource restricted to the University's community.

Access the Library's digital resources from anywhere and on any device with OpenAthens.

Access Statista and choose the option Comunidade Universidade Europeia e IPAM:

Enter your institutional credentials:

  • your student or teacher number;
  • and your password.

Explore the search tool

You can search and find the available information in this database in different ways: keyword search or a targeted search (statistics, reports, and insights).

 

Keyword search

You can type a basic/quick search in the search box.
As you type, you will notice result predictions displayed below.

This search will return all existing data on the platform related to the terms you entered.

On the right side, you will find the filters you can apply to refine and limit your search according to what you want.
For example, in the Content types, you can choose statistics, reports, infographics, etc.

If you want to search for data in specific content formats, access the statistics, reports, or insights bar at the top of the Statista page.

 

Statistics

You can search for statistics within the available industries, with the option to choose to see the most Recent and Popular ones:

Choose the desired statistic to see more information about it.

Once selected, you will have access to complete and detailed information about this statistic, the source from which the information was obtained, as well as the option to download it in different formats.

It is also possible to change the statistics display format and to check the Citation formats.

Reports

You can view reports within the various available themes.

Choose the topic you want to view and apply the filters on the left, or type the term you would like to find in the search box.

As you type the topic in the search box, the results update automatically.

You can also sort these results by relevance, publication date, or popularity:

Choose a result to access more information about the respective report, table of contents, and other details.
You will also have the option to download and view it:

Insights

You can also browse market insights, consumer insights, company insights, and e-commerce insights by clicking on the Explore.. Insights option.

After choosing the desired insight, you can start your research.
In the search box, enter the terms. The latest searches and the most popular ones will appear as well.


Open a result to explore it.

On the left side of the chart, you can choose the Survey item or the Target group.
On the right side, you can choose the viewing mode or Download it:

Research AI

Statista also provides research using artificial intelligence (AI) in the Research AI tab.


Write your question in the text box. The search expression should be objective and concise, and although it supports other languages, we recommend using expressions and terms in English.

The research results are based on reports and statistics available in Statista database.

We not only get a clear and concise answer to our question, but we also have access to the sources on which this information is based:

 

These AI tools are only research aids, often containing errors, so sources and the results obtained should always be verified.

You can still edit the search terms at any time or conduct a new search in New query.

Daily Data

The Daily Data tab offers an overview and visual presentation of current and relevant societal topics.
Here it is possible to see and analyze news published in newspapers and magazines from various countries around the world as infographics.

You can browse the most searched topics on the platform or choose the topics you want to see.
To view an infographic, just click on its image:

When you open an infographic, you can access more information about it, its context, download the associated chart, copy its URL, and finally, at the end, the bibliographic reference of this infographic according to the chosen standard. Remember that this is an auxiliary tool, all generated bibliographic references must be carefully reviewed.
