A basic search generates a large number of results. This type of search is recommended for an initial exploration of a topic.
The option to search by title, author, or ISBN is now available in the query generator located on the left side of the search results page. You can also filter by content format, textbook, and topic using the filter options below the query generator.
When a search is performed, the search algorithm uses an implicit "AND" by default to improve the relevance of the results.
This search engine does not support boolean searches with "NOT" or "OR."
For example, a search for "abdominal pain" without this implicit "AND" operation would return results that include either "abdominal" or "pain," resulting in many irrelevant results.
