ClinicalKey Student Nursing NNN is a platform designed for nursing students, educators, and professionals, providing access to the NANDA, NIC, and NOC taxonomies for consultation and the development of care plans.
This tool offers updated information on the definitions and classifications from NANDA International (2021-2023), as well as the 6th edition of the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) and the 7th edition of the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC), providing key resources for clinical practice and education in the nursing field.

How to search?

The Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) is a system that defines and standardizes nursing interventions. It focuses on nursing actions to improve patient outcomes. Each NIC intervention includes a name, a definition, and a set of activities. Nursing care can be individualized by selecting or adding activities from the provided list.

The Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) is a standardized classification of patient outcomes used to evaluate the success of nursing interventions. Each NOC outcome includes a name, a definition, a list of indicators, a five-point Likert-type scale, and a list of references. These outcomes can be used to monitor the patient’s progress during an episode of care and across different care services.

NANDA stands for the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association, a professional association founded in 1982. Its purpose is to define, promote, and continue working to implement the terminology that reflects the clinical judgments of nursing professionals.
